Monastic Arts was founded by Columbus, Ohio based Commercial Artist/Arts Educator Aaron Luther Thomas on 2/1/2011. Monastic Arts is a creative arts business focused on
providing superior products and services. Products ranging in airbrush apparel,
acrylic paintings, and designs, etc. Services include arts educational
programming serving a variety of populations (after school, summer camps, at
risk youth, etc.) with in the community. Aaron has been teaching and partnering
with agencies with in the Greater Columbus area for the last decade; organizations such as Transit Arts, the Wexner Center for the Arts, Greater Columbus Arts Council, the City of Upper Arlington, Art for a Child Safe America Foundation, Delaware County District Library, Ohio Department of Youth Services to name just a few.
Artist Statement;
Aaron’s art works share his own personal style, beliefs, and
philosophies with his audience. He works to explore opportunities for
communities to use the arts as a way to create safe, nurturing environments for
children and adults. He creates, develops, and implements products and services
to promote a positive outlook, and a sense of community through the arts. All of
his programming services encourage participants to discover, value, and use
their innate talents, gifts, and individual interests to promote productivity.
He generally works with mediums like airbrush, acrylic, and mixed media, but is
known to seek new experiences with-in the arts. His love for history, music, art, and poetry have influenced his perspective; this passion in humanities, and cultures have served to fuel his body of personal works.
